Australian Xmas menu is rich in many kinds of seafood. On the table you will also find asparagus with prosciutto, meatballs with mint leaves and mint yoghurt deeping sauce. For the main course they love to have the traditional baked ham with cloves, roast turkey and pork leg with mustard pears. Instead of typical potatoes, pumpkin & goat’s cheese puree is served. Delicious!
Christmas desserts include mango, date & macadamia pudding with brandy custard, wreath shaped cakes with different toppings as well as trifle – a dish made from thick custard, fruits, sponge cake, gelatin and whipped cream. Trifle is a very easy and quick cake to prepare. We had it home made by Lukasz at Grace & Witek’s place. Absolutely yummy!
I have no idea what a typical fruit for Xmas is in your country. In Poland it is an orange but in Australia it is a cherry.
